Which Contact Lens Solution is the best?

Hey,

I have Acuvue Oasys contact lenses, and I am trying to find the best solution.

1) What is the difference between:

- ALL IN ONE SOLUTIONS
- PEROXIDE SOLUTIONS

2) I have two different types currently, one of which I believe is an ‘all in one’ and the other is a ‘peroxide’ solution

- AMO – Oxysept 1 Step
- Opti-Free Express

Has anyone had any experience with the two above? Which is best? What’s the difference?

3) With the AMO OxySept, I have to add a tablet…. What does this do?

    I use an all in one. I wear Acuvue Advance and ACuvue Advance for Astigmatism. Find a solution you are comfortable with and stick with it. It doesn;t matter which brand as long as you are happy with it. Just dont change once you find the right one for you.

    The OXY Sept is a little more complicated than regular solution. You add a tablet to the case, it cleans the lenses overnight. The thing with this solution is that once you put your contacts in, you can’t take them out for a certain number of hours until the solution has deactivated.

    I prefer the all-in-one solution. I have a cleaning drops, and occassionally I’ll use those to clean the lenses, but generally I clean them with the all in one and let them soak in the all-in-one overnight. I use the Opti-free as well, I’ve had some bad luck with Renu in the past. I prefer the all-in-one because if I want to take my lenses out for just a couple of hours, I can let them soak and they’re fine. It just seems to be less to deal with.
