acuvue oasys
Shannon asked:

My optometrist prescribed me with Acuvue Oasys vision correction contact lenses the other day. My left eye uses a regular lens, whereas my right eye has astigmatism so I use a Toric lens for that one.

They’re pretty comfortable so far, and I’ve heard good reviews of them. Does anybody else use them? And if so, what would you rate them on a scale of 1 to 10? (10 being best)

Can an uncomfortable toric contact lens mean an incorrect Rx?

acuvue oasys contact
I just recently began wearing contact lenses. Supposedly I have Astigmatism in only one eye. Im currently using Acuvue Advance Astigmatism and Acuvue Oasys in the other eye. The Acuvue Oasys feels very comfortable but the other one is torturing me. I feel like I constantly have something in my eye and my vision is blurry. Could this mean that maybe I dont really have an Astigmatism and a regular contact would be much more comfortable. By the way, I know that I’m not supposed to, but I used my other contact in the wrong eye and it felt much better.

Question about toric lenses?

acuvue hydraclear
Emily R asked:

Last summer I got contacts for the first time in awhile (I had had them for awhile but took a break and stuck with glasses). I’ve always had an astigmatism but with my first pair of contacts, I didn’t have a toric lens. However, this new eye doctor gave me the Acuvue Toric with Hydraclear for my left eye. The right eye, which is regular, fits perfectly. However, the left eye is a lot bigger and causes pain to my eye. My doctor said it would have to be something I got used to but I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and if they ever got used to it?

(Because of this pain, I gave up for awhile on wearing my contacts but now I have dances coming up so I want to wear my contacts.)

Toric lens or nontoric?

proclear toric
stardust12081 asked:

i just had my eyes reexamined. I went to a new center to have the exam. I had my eyes previously examined a little less than a year ago. I wear proclear toric lens left = -1.75 Right = -2.00. The new place that I went too examined me and prescribed Bausch and Lomb purevision lens. (not toric). the left = -2.75 the right = 2.25. I feel like the exam did not go as well as I would have liked. The lens that they gave me made my vision slightly blurry. I also am concerned about the difference in my prescription. It seems like a big jump. I am not sure what I should do. The doctor said that if I can “get away” with the regular ones I would save money, but I don’t care about the 10 or 15 dollar difference-I want to see well. Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you wear Toric Contact Lenses? Issues?

toric color contact lens
I recently was prescribed a toric lens for my left eye and a normal lens for my right eye. After trying on a few different toric lenses (all but one so far irritated my eye) I have continually noticed a small blur area in my perifrial(sp) vision in with my left eye (so the left corner of my left eye). It’s almost like the feeling that an eyelash is dangling from the corner of my eye or something (but it’s not). It’s really noticeable when I walk or rotate my head as color moves through that part of the lens. Has anyone had this issue? I don’t get this when I wear a normal lens is that eye (i’m trying different lenses right now).
Thanks.
I get this blur with different toric lenses so it’s not like it’s a dirt spot or something. That all being said when wearing glasses my entire perifrial vision is blurred anyway. So contacts on a whole extend the angle of my vision. I just hope I can try on a lens that fits well and doesn’t have that blur spot.
